What you have not yet understood in all these long years of teaching is the relationship you must have with yours Io. Actually, you all end up observing your self in what way? Through your ego.
Io
Giving meaning to life by changing, understanding [sf29]
The sense of dissatisfaction walks by your side almost constantly: you hardly feel happy and at peace with yourself and, even in the rare cases in which this happens, nothing is enough to make you rediscover that dissatisfaction which, the main characteristic of your ego, it is ready to manifest with every blink of an eye.
How is the illusion of the ego produced? [sf23]
It is both pleasant and disheartening that after about thirty years of teaching in which one of the central pivots was the ego, only now someone (and moreover among the recent arrivals) wonders what our statement means:
The action of transient archetypes on the ego [sf10]
In all these years we have talked to you about the ego and, alas, I have – who knows how – the fear that our words, in the end, despite more than once specifying the truth and the reality of the thing, have ended up producing a wrong image of the ego within yourself.
The close relationship between ego and vibratory ghosts [IF74focus]
[…] The relationship, therefore, between I and vibratory ghosts.
Let us consider the optimal hypothesis, that is, we examine the individual who, absurdly, is in a condition such that he does not possess any vibratory phantom.
The highest part of the ego to observe the ego [sf6]
[…] The fact that to understand, to know yourself you have to go through the use of the Ego, is actually a logical thing, because there can be no other way! You have several tools at your disposal: you have yours mental body, with which you elaborate thoughts, make connections, rationalize things.
The ego is a projection of what the Akasic body has not understood [IB9-2]
As usual, however, I have found all of you - new and less new - in difficulty as far as the ego is concerned. It almost seems that this I, which we say is always so elusive, so difficult to specify, to catch and, therefore, to modify, always manages to avoid your grasp in some way.
What prevents the acquired feeling from manifesting itself in everyday life? [IF29focus]
Here we are at the opening of the new teaching cycle (year 1994/1995, volume 5 of the series From One to the many, ed) who will see us and will see you engaged in dealing with topics that are not easy to understand.
