Starting from one's own reality, not from a moral dictate

We do not want to radically change your essence, we do not want to uproot you from the environment in which you live by dictating ways of being that you can follow and live, for now, more as an abstract and theoretical conception than as a part of yourself and of your reality.
If we did this we would fail our intentions and instead of guiding you towards a feel wider, we would guide you to the top of a peak from which you would see unimaginable horizons, but from which you would not know how to get off, remaining isolated in yourself and detached from your belonging to the material world in which you need to live, in the same way as certain doctrines of the East which offer very high goals and concepts, but which can - if not lived with maturity or from within their historical growth, and therefore with a homogeneously advanced cultural background in that sense - creating a dangerous and dead-end autism, because it is not corroborated by the social and cultural context.
We are therefore aware - and we would like you to be too - that our words, aimed at broadening your inner and outer knowledge, must remain within you and sprout very slowly; that our words must be understood to the limit of your understanding, but that the reality in which you are inserted is such that the implementation of what we tell you is difficult, if not impossible.
Thus, when you are told to love others as you love yourself, we mean exactly what our words mean, however you will not always be able or will be able to do what we have set you as a goal.
“To love others as yourself” must be inserted in your current society, in yours Io current, therefore also taking into account yourself; so that sometimes putting these words into action may just mean not loving yourself. And then? If you yourself should be others and others should be yourself, what should you do when this identity of being collides with your reality?

You see, son, the mere fact that this alternative is present in your feeling is a sign that something is not right, that some element has been neglected or misinterpreted. This element is "your reality".
Never forget that you live in a reality in which you have to move and act, otherwise you run the risk of losing your train immersed in fascinating and even true concepts, which however must remain in you as a murmuring background and not as a substitute for your reality. .
If, in fact, it is true that these conceptions are - even by a small step - further than your feeling is now, let your reality flow over them until the feeling of yours and of those who share this fraction with you of existence has not arrived at the same small step. Then yes, you will be able to make those moral norms operative, always and on every occasion; then yes you will be different in the right way, because the shoots that were in you will have ripened falling by themselves into your hands, without needing you to have them removed ahead of time.
Keep these words in mind:
"Be a man, do not want to transcend yourself by force, because this is wrong;
be yourself the way you think is best, and let the changes happen within you, not because of your, our, or any other being's imposition.

Remember that, if you want, you can not be subjected to impositions, and that the most despotic master, the most unreasonable lord, the most bizarre and harmful emperor you can ever have is yourself ". Weather
