The search for the Truth in the depths of oneself

My father,
in my everyday life io I can also find a moment to turn away from the world and seek the Truth.
My eyes then turn around, observe what surrounds them;
my ears tend to listen to even the smallest sound in search of the word of Truth;
my mind analyzes, examines, criticizes, judges;
my whole being, after all, is aimed at research ...
yet, my Father, the truth seems to drift further and further away from me, and like a mischievous ghost it slips through my fingers as soon as it seems that I am about to grab it, and mocks me, and laughs at me, and disappears around the corner of my mind.
My father, help me, please:
if I internally feel this need for Truth, if I feel that knowing the Truth can give me peace, can make me be different, do something You, You who can do everything, to help me in my frantic and so often desperate search! Weather

My son,
I observe you in the course of your search, I see you stop in your days and persistently search for a reason, search in you for the reasons, the causes of what you are experiencing, of what happens to you, of what strikes you, that pains you , which shatters you, which saddens you all the time.
I see you turning your eyes around you and wondering why that person doesn't love you, why he doesn't help you, why he refuses to reach out to you, why he doesn't hear you his brother.
I see you listening to what others say, and suffering because in their words you cannot feel what you would like to hear, you cannot feel love, tenderness, sweetness.
Then I observe your mind and I observe you, within your mind, when you carefully examine the actions of others, you examine them and you set yourself up as a judge, as a critic, you set yourself up as the discoverer of other people's reality, of other people's Truth, thinking of finding thus the reasons in them that can excuse what you have done, that can allow you to say: "I have done my best, but in reality the truth is that it is the others who make mistakes".

My son,
close your eyes,
my son, shut your ears,
my son, silence the outward mind and observe yourself:
if you really want to find the Truth, don't look for it outside of yourself, because I didn't place it there.
There are the truths of others, but the truths of others, my son, are unattainable for you,
they are nothing but projections of your needs, your desires, your thoughts, your passions.
Instead, my son, what is reachable, observable, knowable, comprehensible, assimilable, verifiable for you is your inner reality;
and it is there, my son, that I have placed the Truth that you can discover.
Do not be afraid, do not be afraid of yourself and observe yourself fully:
if it really is the Truth that you are looking for, in your deepest being, no doubt, you will find it. Scifo

  1. I'm in Calabria, on vacation. Every year for me this is a privileged time, a time (the perception of it) that expands because it empties itself of many things, commitments, worries. Doing leaves room for being. The mind withdraws and gives way to the perception of different light at different times of the day, of the sounds of the sea, of the wonderful colors of the flowers and of the overflowing nature, of the scents and of the taste that is delighted here. And in this being the awareness matures that everything is in us, every atom of the universe and that we already possess everything we would like to find outside of us.
    “Don't give me anything, Lord; I don't need it "

  2. The truth is not outside of us, the truth of others is unattainable. Words that give peace to my progress.

  3. "Do not be afraid, do not be afraid of yourself and observe yourself to the end". Let's help each other do it really, with lightness and depth.

  4. Song that reassures and brings peace: do not be afraid of yourself ... within you I have placed the truth ... .. words that stimulate me even more and direct the search for answers

  5. May this post serve to shift attention from others to ourselves! May it help us to become aware of pointing out others and to look within ourselves! And that this becomes an automatism every time we realize that we have lost the deep contact with ourselves!
