Character and Personality 12: Observing Personality and I [A23]

[…] What is the difference between the personality andIo? We said: character is the basis for being able to interact during your experiences, the way this basis is expressed in your experiences is your personality.

Now, at that point, the personality is constituted, what happens? It happens that when the personality comes to interact with existence, with experience, it finds itself having to interact with other people and with transient archetypes.
It happens that, in order to be able to interact with other people and with the transitory archetypes, he has to interact physically, emotionally and mentally, but emotion and mind are very much conditioned by what are the archetypes. Certainly, because the archetypes are the ones that dictate the reactions of the individual at the level of society, after all.

Here, these reactions, which are implemented and which are stimulated from the outside by transitory archetypes and by relationships with other people, are the ones that give the illusion of a creation of the ego on the personality. So the ego, in reality, is formed by the personality, but  it is the part that is influenced from the outside and which, therefore, covers in some way the true personality of the individual. Which, in turn, goes back to the true character of the individual. It's a bit as if personality and self were two sides of the same coin, let's say; there personality is that which looks inward, ego is that which looks outward.

We have always said that the ego is the interface with your reality; then perhaps you can understand even better that it is the interface in the sense that it is how your personality, your character, interacts with external reality. The problem always arises from the fact that you end up identifying yourself with your action.

  • Readings for the interior: every day a short spiritual reading of the Cerchio Ifior and the Cerchio Firenze 77, up Whatsapp and Telegram.
  • Summary of the philosophical teaching of the Ifior Circle: HOW CONSCIOUSNESS CREATES PERSONAL REALITY, you can order here the book. If you're reading this and want support, write.

D – And in all of this, the image where do we put it?

Well, we can easily put the image together with the ego; it is a consequence of what the ego creates of itself, tries to create in itself. Since the ego realizes that it is in that way, it is necessary to have fixed points in order to be able to demonstrate to itself that it exists; so what does it do? You create an image of yourself: «I am like this and like this because when I relate to external reality I behave like this and like this. I have my desires, external reality is there to fulfill my desires, therefore I am this» and one creates an image of what it is like; certainly trying to embellish it as much as possible, because your ego is a bit vain. Here, your image is that.

Q - When you say we have to change our life, do you mean allowing our character to express itself through personality, or do you mean changing character?

The change you have to make is the basis of yourself, it is being able to let yours flow Feel, then let your character flow, then let your personality flow, observe how your personality flows and don't try to be your reactioni.e. your ego. So change your point of view of your life.

D - Yes, but you said you didn't identify us with our actions and did you mean not to identify us with our ego?

Right.

D – Eh, but the difficulty is right there, di observe the personality rather than the reactioni.e. the ego. Discern one from the other.

But if it were that easy, I wouldn't be screaming all this time!

[…] You have all the elements; I would just like to ask you, however, not to make the reasoning on these elements excessive, because when you reason, what do you do? You usually set your ego in motion; it is your ego that reasons on these elementsinstead the one who has to use these elements is your conscience; so you take note of these elements, try to understand as much as you can, but do not make your life a continuous attempt to understand these elements. Take note of these elements, this is how things are and your akasic body will still think about what it needs. As if to say that, in the end, we are not as useful as you might think!

  1. I agree with the closing of the text, which makes very subtle distinctions that are difficult to understand.
We know that there is a character, a personality, a false ego, which works to give us experience, but finally the one who really manages everything is the conscience.
