The phases of the development of the ego and the awareness of its action

It is good to remember, in order not to make you fall into errors of bad interpretation and evaluation, that it is always very difficult to see where the "exaltation" of theIo and where the "cancellation" begins.
I will explain better: some of you may think or claim to perform a certain action (perhaps even humble or "degrading") not for the ego, but, on the contrary, at the expense of their ego; our advice is to never make statements of this kind because being able to distinguish where the boundary between "exaltation" and "annulment" lies is not so simple; on the other hand, if it were, each of you would by now have reached an excellent evolutionary level, and these discourses would be surpassed. Federico

Other factors must also be taken into account: you see, very often we tend to say: “I want to fight this ego of mine”.
I tell you that fighting it (in the sense, at least, commonly attributed to this term) is of little use; in fact, fighting the ego implies an action of force, and it is certainly not with force, much less with violence, that you will be able to obtain your results.
Repressive measures, on the other hand, have always had the opposite effect of what was the basis of their existence.
Also take into account the fact that, at your current evolutionary state, your ego no longer manifests itself in a "raw" and grossly evident way, but tends to act in a much more subtle, insinuating way, and makes you move subtly in such a way as to create confusion, so much so that a miserably selfish action appears altruistic.
So what to do to get yourself out of this confusion and what measures to take so as not to run into those mistakes that, for a long time, have been your "thorn in your heart"?
Without taking up arms, observe and analyze all your actions on a daily basis, and try to arrive (maximum sincerity towards yourself is required to do this) the reasons that pushed you to behave in that way, then become aware of how much ego was present in your actions and, without reciting useless "mea culpa" or macerating yourself in feelings of guilt - which are of no use to you except to suffer and feel bad - wait for another experience, thanks to which you can verify how much you have understood about yourself and your ego.
This alone can be the first step towards that cancellation proposed by the Guides, therefore no action of force or violence towards yourself, only a lot of sincerity is enough.
Therefore, do not be afraid to find yourself selfish, and try to use all the courage you possess while observing yourself, to throw off the masks of altruism that the ego - at this point of your evolution - it is creating to carry out "its interests" and, at worst, "to do one's own convenience". Francesco

We generally tend to attribute only negative qualities to this ego, but you know that this is not the case; the ego is very important in the course of the evolution of individuals because, if it had not been there, none of you today could enjoy all that man (indeed the ego) has created, invented for his own well-being. We can say that the manifestation of the ego, like that of the mind, is as indispensable to man for his growth, as much as his annulment so that that same man can reach the maximum "feel".

Stages of ego development

Now if you observe an individual from his birth to his maturity, which we set between 20 and 25 years (the moment in which one should have the connection with the Akasic plan), you will be able to see what the evolution of the individual has been. since his first appearance in the physical world as "man".

1- By observing a child in its growth phases, one can find the story of the ego, of man, since his first human incarnations.
In fact, you will see that in the earliest childhood the individual has a very strong and very rough ego, that is, limited to the satisfaction of his own personal needs; he wants to be at the center of everyone's attention, and puts the search for the satisfaction of his own needs and desires before everything.
This, indicatively, is the first phase of growth and development of the ego.

2- As the individual grows, the ego is attenuated, at least as regards its external manifestation, and manages to leave small spaces for the needs of others.
The child who, for example, goes to school, and who therefore begins to have his first social, interpersonal relationships, begins to understand that he not only has rights but also duties towards others, and so on, slowly, until its maturity.
This is the second phase, whereby the ego - while continuing to exist, to be present within the individual - begins to manifest itself in an ever more refined and less evident way; so much so as to be able to almost go unnoticed, if not even to make his actions "altruistic".

3- Then when the individual reaches 20-25 years, his ego reaches its full maturity and it is from this moment on that the latter begins to manifest itself in that more subtle way, as Francis said before.
It can therefore be said that, in your current evolutionary state, you are like the 25 year old who still has a strong ego but which tends to manifest itself in a more subtle and less evident way. From this moment on, all the work to get closer to "annulment" will depend on the individual alone and on his ability to make his own ego less and less active.

Here, I wanted to make this clarification to remind you that you must not always regard the ego with contempt, but accept that it exists in you and behave in such a way as to tame it, to render it harmless to your inner growth. Serena

  3. Boulders'! Welcome me and welcome the non-identification in the ego, not forcing oneself into the narrow spaces of him. No guilt and selfishness? Welcome as long as and to the extent that spaces for understanding do not open up, pieces of feeling that lead us to overcome it. There is no guilt, there is no penance, there is what there is, the important thing is to return to the inner hermitage from which to observe everything. Thank you

  4. To be or not to be is no longer a problem, since they are the indispensable conditions for our evolution. Thank you

  5. The continuous observation of our actions leads to transformation, the process starts from knowledge to arrive at understanding. The concept is to never let your guard down.
This reading reassures me in the work that in particular at this stage I am doing on myself.
    thank you

  6. ... "being able to distinguish where the boundary between" exaltation "and" annulment "lies is not such a simple thing".
I have seen it, yes ...
On the other hand, how can the ego annul itself? It is in its nature self-affirmation and when it adopts apparently altruistic choices, these are dictated by fear rather than by love, aimed at self-recognition and therefore at confirmation rather than at service towards the other perceived as oneself.
Just before reading this post, I noted with some bitterness the presence of selfishness in me and the aridity that it entails. It is this dryness that worries me, not so much a sense of devaluation or the fear of being judged. The dryness deriving from feeling separate ... and at the same time I feel it so unnatural, so fake ...

  7. the know yourself. When the ego shows up, observe it without judging and accept that scene. Continuous training that will bear fruit. Thank you.
