The thousand paths to Reality and the link with suffering

One thousand, one hundred thousand, one million, as many as there are individualities present on your plane of existence, are the roads that lead to the understanding of truth, of reality: that Reality with a capital R, beyond which nothing can exist.

That Reality, which, unique, constitutes the fabric of existence and on which everything that you can imagine is founded and also what your mind, so limited, is not capable of representing itself; and each of these roads can be different from the other; there is never, for one who follows a spiritual quest of some kind, a path that is perfectly identical for two individuals; This is because if the path traced can apparently be the same - as perhaps traced by the same philosophy, by the same teacher - there is always that subjectivity, expressed by those who follow the path, which in reality makes this path different from individual to individual.

And it is this individual need of each being that makes this multiplicity of paths necessary, this diversity of paths, this great unraveling of paths, explained before you so that each of you looks for the best way to understand yourself and, therefore, from himself, perhaps through suffering, is able to go beyond what is on the plane in which he finds himself and is able to find a contact, a reality, a brotherhood, a sense of fullness, of completeness, of happiness, of unity, of non-division, of non-separativeness with everything that surrounds it. Weather

The continuous companion of each of these paths is always, inevitably - and necessarily, I would add - the suffering.
Which of you, creatures, does not suffer? Who can safely claim not to suffer many hours of their day, even not to be submerged by suffering, to arrive, at certain moments, just to be unable to take it anymore from the entity, from the strength, from the overwhelming of this suffering, which looms like a threatening sword that perhaps you do not understand the need?
Yet, nothing happens by chance, everything that happens has its own reason, its own logic: and it is not necessary, many times, to be able to understand this logic, this necessity, to go looking for strange, fantastic, different topics.
It is enough to meditate for a moment on the relationship that each of you has with the suffering that you live or that, many times, think you are living. Scifo

The diversity"

This evening they gave me the task of closing the meeting; perhaps because, in the course of my last life, I have been a bit of an example of what has been talked about this evening. Because if for all those outside the Circle io I'm Billy, anyone who has known me from the very beginning in these meetings knows that I was Oscar Wilde; and therefore, certainly, a different, a "very different", especially inserted in that so modest era ...

Well, only after that life, re-examining it, did I realize how much this diversity was necessary for me to change, to understand myself, to also be able to understand others; because certainly when again - who knows, maybe very soon - I will have to re-immerse myself in the subject, the memory of my diversity will accompany me and help me to no longer be different and to feel others similar to me; without founding my suffering on a diversity linked only to transitory factors, and which is devoid, in reality, of great importance, if not for what is the ego of the moment.
I wish you, dear ones, to live every day in a serene way that little, great diversity that each of you has inside anyway and always, as long as it is inside the matter. I greet you, friends. Billy

Observe therefore, brothers, you who are often unwilling - but very often willing - followers of suffering; your pain appears terrible to you; observe it more dispassionately, try to look at it placing yourself outside of situations and you will realize that much of this pain, of this suffering, is just a mental construction.

How many times, in the course of your days, do you suffer mainly because you feel different from others; I know, it seems almost a silly, stupid speech, what I'm doing; yet, if you think about it, this idea of diversity is one of the dominant themes of your days and it is also one of the main causes of your suffering.
You feel different, perhaps, because you don't own something that others have; you feel different, perhaps, because you cannot do something that others do; you feel different because you don't think you have enough intelligence to understand what others understand and so on.

Your whole life seems (if you think about it carefully, sincerely) based on this search for uniformity with others.
Well, one of the main points of the research, what each of you must look for, find, recognize, taste is precisely the fact that, in reality, none of you is different from the others in your existential project but, on the contrary, this diversity does not exist. to the point that you are truly others, a single being with the same range of feelings, needs, desires, the same drives and - mainly - the same goals that others around you have.

Only when you understand this will you realize that the other diversity labels you put on are just labels of convenience, most of the time; then you will be able to live more in peace with yourselves and not to walk with continuous suffering on a road, already difficult in itself. Rodolfo

  1. Does feeling different cause me suffering? For a certain period of my life it was like that. I saw in the other what I was not or did not have, what I wanted to be or have. I think this has been the stimulus for change for a long time, but I made the mistake of not listening to my deep self, what was right for me. Not understanding what my existential needs were, I struggled to find the solution to my sense of inadequacy, trying to imitate those who in my opinion had reached understandings, a balance. Then the Consciousness gave stronger and clearer signals, then the horizon changed. No longer outside of me, but inside of me I continued to search for the meaning of that suffering. In a time that I cannot define whether long or short, the centrality of me has weakened and so has the suffering. I believe that all the steps have been useful to increase the ability to welcome the other to his limit, being able to see a part of me in him / her.

  2. It is true that pain is very often a mental fact, especially that pain that comes from not accepting oneself.

  3. Overcoming suffering is that device that pushes us to evolve, for a good part of the way. I also believe that the more the Consciousness widens its understanding, the more other factors come into play that nourish the path of understanding. Thank you.

  4. When you understand that the other is nothing more than the mirror of your image, you understand that all the others are a hologram of you, then it no longer makes sense to talk about inadequacy.

  5. The issue of suffering is very complex. I affirm it while I live it and I would like to escape it.
This acts as a spur to movement.
I am aware that to escape it you have to deal with what originates it, otherwise it will recur in other contexts.
Ultimately, it cannot be escaped. We must face it.

  6. Emphasizing suffering is like stopping in one's pain.
By broadening our gaze we reveal ourselves and the origin of suffering.

  7. Since Friday, the day of publication, I have read this post several times.
In relation to diversity there is something that does not add up ... what I have grasped is that it is spoken of as if, whoever feels different, has some sense of lack, of lack. We are different because we do not have the same things, different because we are less intelligent and so on. There is a part of me that, only in becoming, considers itself different, but this diversity has to do with the awareness of loneliness… I can't express anything else. I will continue to ruminate on these words and thank you for this possibility
